Sam Sicilia heeft een tegenstander en datum voor zijn Bellator debuut. De Amerikaan zal het gaan opnemen tegen een voormalig kampioen in zijn debuut en hoopt een 3-fight losing streak te verbreken.

Na twaalf partijen te hebben gevochten in de UFC werd Sicilia losgelaten door zijn voorgaande werkgever. Een tijd geleden werd het duidelijk dat de Amerikaan getekend had bij Bellator, maar er werd nog geen datum of tegenstander gegeven voor Sicilia, tot nu. De veteraan zal een zware test hebben in zijn eerste uiting voor Bellator want hij neemt het op tegen de voormalig Bantamweight kampioen, Marcos Galvao. De partij zal zich gaan afspelen in de featherweight divisie in de Winstar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville tijdens Bellator 189 op 1 december.

Marcos Galvao zal zich ook weer in de winstkolom willen vechten want zijn laatste partij ging ook verloren tegen Emmanuel “El Matador” Sanchez in  februari. De Braziliaanse Galvao won de bantamweight titel in maart 2015, maar verloor die titel in zijn eerste verdediging tegen Eduardo Dantas in juni 2016. Daarna wist hij een mooie zege te boeken over LC Davis, maar verloor daarna nog van “El Matador”.

Beide mannen zullen gebrand zijn de partij te winnen en weer in de winstkolom terecht te komen.

After twelve fights in the UFC he got cut after a three fight losing streak and signed to Bellator MMA a few months ago. Now the news came that he has a date and an opponent. He will take on Marcos Galvao on the first of december in the Winstar Wolrd Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma.

Marcos Galvao will also be looking at redemption as he lost his last fight against Emmanuel “El Matador” Sanchez. Since losing his bantamweight belt to Eduardo Dantas he earned a win over LC Davis but lost to “El Matador” after. Both guys will be looking to get back in the win collumn and that will make for a spectaculair fight.
